How we operate
Direct attorney access. When you call Wood Injury Law, you get a real attorney, not a screening service. The attorney handling your case is the attorney you talked to on the first call. We do not transfer you to a paralegal who reads from a script.
Contingency fee. You pay nothing in attorney fees unless we recover money for you. We advance case expenses out of our own funds, including medical record retrieval, expert witness fees, and court filing costs. You don’t put up money to pursue your case. How contingency fees work in Arizona.
We say no to cases we can’t help. If your case is small enough that an attorney would consume more of the recovery than we’d add, we’ll tell you and point you to a better path. If you have a strong case but it’s not in our specialty, we refer you to someone who handles it well.
Statewide representation, local accountability. Our office is in Mesa, but we represent injury victims throughout Arizona — Phoenix, Scottsdale, Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe, Glendale, Peoria, Tucson, Flagstaff, Yuma, and beyond. Distance does not change the level of attention your case gets.

Attorney Josh Wood
The attorney leading Wood Injury Law is Josh Wood, admitted to the State Bar of Arizona. Before founding the firm, Josh worked as a defense attorney for a major national auto insurer — meaning he spent years on the other side of the table, learning exactly how insurance companies build files against injury victims. That defense-side experience is now applied for plaintiffs.
Josh also previously served as a police officer in Las Vegas, Nevada. The combination of police-side investigative experience and insurance-defense legal experience is unusual and useful in PI cases — it produces an attorney who reads police reports, accident reconstruction analyses, and insurance file notes with practical fluency that most plaintiff attorneys lack.
Across the call
The first call is a five-minute conversation about what happened, what you’ve been told, and what to do next. We do not ask for documents we don’t yet need. We do not pressure you to sign anything on the first call.
If we take the case, we contact the insurance company so you don’t have to. We coordinate medical care, document the injury trajectory, preserve evidence, and protect you from recorded-statement traps. When you reach maximum medical improvement, we prepare a demand package and negotiate. If the insurance company refuses fair compensation, we file suit and try the case.
If you have already received a settlement offer, bring it to the call. We’ll tell you honestly whether it’s reasonable for your injuries or whether you’re being lowballed. If it’s fair, we’ll tell you that too.
